We had a

Bad News:
The Raftery Festival had to be cancelled for 2011, and because of several circumstances, it will not take place in 2012. We are very sorry. On the website www.rafteryfestival.com, Terry McDonagh, the festival Arts Director appologized to guests and contributors.The website is offline now. Perhaps, hopefully, one day, the festival, successful for many years, will start again.

We had a very interesting and vivid workshop "Dialogue" on Jan. 26th, thanks to Ken Armstrong., with 9 members participating.
From the first page of his handout - just to give you an impression:
"Nobody knows anything." (William Goldman)
"You're not necessarily right." (Ken Armstrong)
Can you imagine how much fun we had.
Learning and laughing - a perfect match.

On Writing Advice
Generally
For me, writing
advice is like cooking pasta.
Throw pasta at the wall and, if it sticks, its good.
Throw writing advice at yourself
- all of it you can find -
those little bits that stick, treasure them.
Let the rest slide to the floor,
sweep it up and put it in the bin.
